Quantitative Analysis of plant growth and development using Digital Image Processing /Thermal Image Analysis and Feedback Control Within an Automated Plant Culture System

The objective of this project is to develop a digital and thermal image analysis system with automatically controlled feedback capabilities for the observation and accurate quantification of plant growth, under controlled nutritional and climatic conditions. The main motivation is to be prepared for the case that there is a worldwide food shortage due to unstable and rapidly changing environmental conditions and possible lack of available labor work power.
